I've looked at the github repo again. I think we all agree that future discussions have to take place on this ML. For structuring the development efforts it makes sense to create a jira project right from the start (instead of using the sandbox project). I don't know if Gary can do that or if we need help from Infra for that. I'll bootstrap a website for you and include it at http://commons.apache.org/sandbox.html right after the git repo is available.
