It's the operation, where you commit changes while creating a tag. It's the
same you do when creating the RC. You checkout trunk, modify the version
numbers and create the tag by coping trunk while in the same time
committing the release version number.
The same could be done to update the TBAs if you're unsure when exactly
you'll have the time to promote the artifacts.
