Love the idea Duncan :)

On the logo - if Commons can't use its logo without having to ask
Trademarks/Press/Legal each time, then my non-binding opinion is that
Commons needs a different logo. It's should be the Commons logo, not the
ASF as a whole. If the feather + 'Commons' isn't enough to make it a
Commons logo, Commons needs to dump the feather.

This might, however, be highlighting that Commons brand is primarily the
ASF's brand, unlike many other Apache projects :)
