Artifacts containing native binaries are useful in the Maven repository. Other projects also publish native libraries to Maven, like JOGL or JNA. But binary packages including the jars, the sources, the compiled tests, the dependencies and the javadoc are just redundant with the other Maven artifacts. Emmanuel Bourg
