Hi,
With maven, you can configure the compiler to compile in the version you
want.
Add this to the pom.xml and set the arguments as you which.

<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<version>2.4</version>
<configuration>
<encoding>UTF-8</encoding>
<source>1.6</source>

</compilerArguments>
</configuration>
</plugin>
