The idea would be to work off clean svn checkouts so there are no conflicts.

I have some interest (I did work through to get 1.1 out) but its
really not high priority. Left to me, it may realistically be weeks
before things like JEXL-55 get looked at. Obviously, if someone else
jumps in, that could be faster.

Great, I won't look at the proposed contribution until the ICLA gets
recorded by the ASF Secretary, so thats a start AFAIAC :-) Will reply
here or make a note on the JIRA ticket when its recorded.
