I've created an m2 "Commons Build Plugn" in the Sandbox - the site is here: http://commons.apache.org/sandbox/commons-build-plugin/
Currently the download pages are generated by m1 and many components has a custom "issue tracking" page thats better than the default m2 version. This plugin generates both pages and ha a couple of advantages: - consistency for issue tracking and provide an easy way to keep them all up-to-date - download pages can be part of the compoents site - rather than outside on commons main site This is an m2 "Ant Plugin" which I believe will make it easy for everyone to understand - since its just some (well 2 ATM) packaged ant scripts. The plugin has a basic web site with some pointers on how it works and developing/maintaining it: http://commons.apache.org/sandbox/commons-build-plugin/development.html Is this a good idea?
