    I think it is quite fair. The source is the official release, and the 
packages are not official.
    I don't know that we will ever be able to offer official packages, because 
our official release is the source.
    
    The change makes this a bit more clear.
    It does bring confusion to some extent, because people will ask "what's the 
difference between this repo or that repo"....
    
    Cassandra does this to advertize Datastax repo, Mesos does it with the 
mesosphere repos...
    
    I don't see it as a major problem, as long as shapeblue folks support users 
that use their packages and ask questions about them on the list.
    
    So +1 (even though I see remi's point as well).
