+1, I had a few minor patches before but the bootcamp definitely helped me ramp up on the project faster and I found the recorded material very useful during project onboarding (some of it is still available on Youtube).
I think it would be beneficial to collocate a bootcamp for new contributors together with an annual event such as NGCC or Apachecon/Cassandra Summit and also record some of the sessions so they're available for a wider audience after the fact.
