This is a really good idea.

On first pass, I wonder if we should move the link to the Thrift API docs
out of the "Application Developers" block; CQL is the primary interface now
isn't it?

Following on from that, whenever pages include examples of read/write
queries (e.g. http://wiki.apache.org/cassandra/Counters) we should probably
replace those with the appropriate CQL wherever applicable.
