Thanks Cham for flagging this. It sounds like an inconvenience at minimum,
I vote -1 and suggest to rollback the numpy upgrade on the release branch.
Alternative: we upgrade numpy in the SDK containers but that leaves us with
releasing a configuration that had less time to be tested.
