I agree with this also -- it was perhaps aspirational to see if more
contributors around the idea of Arrow-accelerated file systems would come
out of the woodwork but at this point it would probably make sense for this
to spin off into a separate project (either within the Apache umbrella if
there is community interest or as a community / contrib project).
