Well, 'qxo' is definitely not me (or I would know how to reproduce IVYDE-130 ;-)

ok :)

And I agree with your comment on IVYDE-128. Personally I have absolutely no need for this to be fixed.

I was just wondering what to do with these two issues as they are currently part of the 2.0 roadmap.

One other question just came to my mind: what about ivy 2.0 final? Should the ivyde beta wait for 2.0 final or not? Personally I don't feel the need for this but maybe someone disagrees.

I see no technical reason to have them released synchronously, as each new Ivy version is also available in the IvyDE update site. But there can be some "marketing" reasons: "Here is the final version of Ivy 2 ! and yeah ! look ! there is also a new version of IvyDE !" :) For my part, I don't mind waiting a little bit, I am pretty confident that the next version of Ivy will be a final version.

Hi,

Declaring ivyde as beta seems fine to me. I don't have many problems
with the latest version.

What about IVYDE-128 and IVYDE-130? These are currently in the 2.0
roadmap.
Although I must say that I have no idea how to reproduce IVYDE-130.
I certainly have never seen anything like it.

for IVYDE-128, see my comment, it is already working for maven
repositories, which is the main use case. Now it may exist some use
case for some broken Ivy repositories, but it would be simpler to fix
the repo I think, "qxo" (is it you Erik ?) should confirm it.

IVYDE-130: I have yet no idea how to fix it.

Then both are included in the 2.0 final roadmap, but it don't see the
necessity to have them in the beta.
As soon as enough people agree with the roadmap, I will update Jira
accordingly.

Subject: IvyDE 2.0 roadmap

I would like to discuss about the next release of IvyDE.

The last release of IvyDE was made 4 months ago, there are some
important bug fixes that make IvyDE a lot more stable, so I think it
is a good time to get an IvyDE release now.
Thought I don't think that that next release is enough tested to be
flagged as "2.0 final", I think a "beta" state is more appropriate,
there are still opened and unresolved bugs. And the current
implementation of the "resolve in workspace" is a little bit hacky.
I would see that release as a milestone in a stable 2.0 roadmap.

For that beta release, I would like to take time to include
IVYDE-120 (make IvyDE work in Eclipse 3.2), and also IVYDE-119
(little refactoring of the UI, maybe together with IVYDE-106 (choose
the configuration used during retrieve)).

After that beta out, I think we should focus then on a 2.0 final,
making every bugs fixed, having a correct "resolve in workspace"
implementation.

WDYT ?

Nicolas
