That is the intention. 2. A very small testcase <fileset dir="."><modified update="false"/></fileset> has created the cache file, but shouldnt. A first quick view into the source [1] has shown public boolean isSelected(...) { ... // Maybe update the cache if (update && rv) { cache.put(f.getAbsolutePath(), newValue); setModified(getModified() + 1); if (!getDelayUpdate()) { saveCache(); } } ... } But maybe the error is somewhere deeper.
