Mmh, Eclipse will release a milestone 9 on May and final is targeted for June [1]. And there are additional modifications which could be helpful (new Xerces, os2-wrapper, sshexec+stderr/out, xslt+classloader, parallel´s failOnAny, ...).
And if the Eclipse team would be our big beta-tester I would argue for a new release.
