I put them back, for a good reason.

I'd like to put in a means for at least providing error reporting
in a more sane manner (perhaps providing the offending line, with
a pointer to the offending statement).

So long as the language provides facilities for doing at least
that much, providing the context information with the parameters
is not too far out of line.
