Ugh. Replying to my own post. So, the 5 parameter version was in 2.2; and the line, column, and source info were *utterly* unused in that version. So, unless someone can provide a compelling argument to the contrary, I am deprecating the 5 parameter versions of these functions. Should a compelling argument be made, I'll un-deprecate them, and remove the new versions. Victor -- Victor J.
