I'm happy to help with this.

Okay, so I've found the following open bugs (in Bugzilla) which look
relevant:

- #414490: Allow building Firefox on Mac with gtk2 toolkit
- #529878: libnssutil3.dylib not linking correctly
- #595453: Plugin regions are not properly destroyed on page-change
- #626183: Firefox 4.0b9 fails to run due to undefined updateWizard
- #641755: gfx/ycbcr build failure for darwin/i386 with 4.0b11
- #484453: OSX / DARWIN implementation of NativeCompareAndSwap is invalid
- #485857: xpcom: -DXP_MACOSX not provided to xpcom/base/nsStackWalk.cpp
- #487373: using system libxul-sdk causes infinite recursion on file system

I'm currently merging in the patches from MacPorts' firefox-x11-devel
into the comm-beta tree from Thunderbird 18.0b1, and I'll merge in the
patches from Bugzilla.
