thanks  for the bug report i have also seen this bug..its status should'nt be 
wishlist.. its a bug. 
a bug has been fixed same as before but it appear again and i am able to 
reproduce it. see
i have selected quite with 2 ways but gwibber does not quite,
1). right click on the launcher icon and select quite,
2).gwibber ==> quite
so its reproduce able.. it get updated after 3-4 minutes after we have quite it.

  gwibber doesn't quit when it should, notifications persist

Bug description:
  When you select "Quit" from the File menu in Gwibber it should Quit,
  not close. Notifications persist even after the app has been exited
  (quit). Using Gnome 3 Shell. There should be a way to quit Gwibber
  completely from the menu options.
