Continuing previous comment. (Something specific for rhel). For Python, I removed /usr/bin/python and changed "#!/usr/bin/python" inside /usr/bin/hp-scan to "#!/usr/libexec/platform-python" (then it still works). And both similar change inside /usr/bin/hp-setup, /usr/bin/hp-plugin, /usr/bin/hp-sendfax, /usr/bin/hp-systray too.
