Also, a WORKAROUND is not a fix, and wouldn't be eligible to create a patch from. Despite this, to fix your issue in the default configuration (i.e. no WORKAROUNDs), it is most helpful to developers for you to test the latest version of Ubuntu (live environment would be helpful). If reproducible, then it can be upstreamed for review. If you can't, that's fine. Fixes come out as a matter of course in development. Unfortunately, the issue you are experiencing won't be fixed that much faster.
