Thanks a lot for reporting this bug, however since Evolution is no longer a part of the default Ubuntu installation, this bug no longer constitutes a papercut.

When I switch to Calendar view, it is automatically expanded to fit a little calendar. However, when I switch back to Mail, I cannot narrow it again until I restart Evolution. My English is not very good, so see the attached image for clarification. I know that the window must fit the widgets, but I think it does not need to fit hidden components, just like those "> View details" things that change the size of dialogs. If you consider this is not a bug, then I would like to be able to disable the little calendar in the sidebar. I'm using Jaunty amd64, but I'm experiencing this bug since the first time I used Evolution, back in 2006.
