Title:
  Xsane doesn't recognise MFC215

Status in sane-backends package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 and when I try to access the scanning function
of my Brother MFC215c via Xsane, I get the following error message:
"FAILED TO OPEN DEVICE 'brother2: bus4; devi1: Error during device
1/0". I've downloaded the appropriate scanner software from Brother
and Ubuntu is no use to me if I can't access my scanner. Can someone
help with this problem? From the number of posts from people having
problems with Xsane, this seems a major glitch.
