Bug description:
I can't see anything on the virtual console after a resume on a HP
nw8440 notebook (ATI Technologies Inc M56P [Radeon Mobility X1600]).

Suspend and Resume basically works, however I can't see anything on
the Virtual Terminal after the system has been resumed. The X works
  great.

The Virtual Console is functional, because I can login and type
commands, just I can't see anything on it.
