However it tries to play with HTML5 mode, but it doesn't work if chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra is not installed (which it isn't by default). Chromium should declare h264 support only if chromium-codecs-ffmpeg- extra is installed. The same should apply for all other codecs included in chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra but not in the default chromium-codecs-ffmpeg. Tested with chromium-browser 6.0.472.62~r59676-0ubuntu1 and chromium- codecs-ffmpeg 0.6+svn20100904r58574+58998-0ubuntu1 on maverick.
