What specific steps should we take to recreate this bug? I'm not at all saying that this bug shouldn't be fixed but honestly there isn't enough information here for me to know what the bug is, so it's impossible for me to independently verify whether the patch is sufficient to fix the bug on Ubuntu 12.04.
