I tried on another machine with same Libreoffice version & could not reproduce
the above problem. Then I tried the following steps on my machine again to get
around the problem.
1. I deleted my Indian (Hindi) and Gujarati Language keyborad Layouts and
added again, but this did not resolve problem.
2. I deleted libreoffice user profile folder ".libreoffice" again run
Libreoffice. This time the Libreoffice window reduced in size (including fonts)
to almost one fifth of normal full screen. The menu bar displayed somewhat
below the window. And the above problem remained same (After restart also).

3. After restart of libreoffice, I selected "Tools -Options-Languages
settings - Languages - CTL ", which was showing as "Default - Hindi",
then I selected from this drop-down "Hindi" and the pressed "OK" and
exited.

On re-start of Libreoffice, the normal function of Hindi language typing
was restored. Now I can type in English, Hindi and Gujarati normally.

It seems to me from above that the reported abnormal function was may be
due to some corruption in user profile, or the way the Language options
is saved or manipulated. For me it is SOLVED now.
