Im on 12.04, I can select which monitor but regardless of which one i choose, the launcher is only placed in the primary one. This has worked in the past when I had two different monitors, but now that I have two of the same monitors it has stopped working.

The launcher placement drop down menu in Displays lists both monitors but selecting either one results in the primary monitor showing the launcher and the secondary one only visible if 'All Displays' is selected. A solution I have found, is to disable the primary monitor within 'Displays', set the launcher to show on the remaining monitor and then re-enable the primary monitor. This causes the launcher to show only on the secondary monitor.
