Yeah you can't trust the advertised specs so I would just aim for 80Gbps
and hope some of them actually can...

Seems to go on in an endless loop.

That is usually caused by one of two things:
* A monitor turning off is seen as an unplug event, which wakes up the display 
server a couple of seconds later.
* A monitor that supports audio streams may be adding/removing audio devices 
from the system.

At least the first point is meant to be totally fixed in 25.10.
