Well, that didn't take long. It just happened. I checked for the gnome-
shell process and it seemed to be running:

$ ps -ef | grep [g]nome-shell
user     3704    3056  1 14:56 ?        00:00:04 /usr/bin/gnome-shell
user     3861    3056  0 14:56 ?        00:00:00
/usr/libexec/gnome-shell-calendar-server
user     3880    3056  0 14:56 ?        00:00:00 /usr/bin/gjs -m
/usr/share/gnome-shell/org.gnome.Shell.Notifications
user     4213    3056  0 14:56 ?        00:00:00 /usr/bin/gjs -m
/usr/share/gnome-shell/org.gnome.ScreenSaver
user     5213    3704  0 14:57 ?        00:00:00 gjs
/usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/d...@rastersoft.com/app/ding.js -E -P
