Hans' observation that this is not impacting all of his machines is consistent with my experience of this issue. I have three Ubuntu machines and this is only impacting one of them. It is driving me nuts because the machine that is impacted is my main laptop. My server and my test machine which would be less of an issue to me as they don't get booted so often are working fine. A classic example of Murphy's Law.
