@Henrik, the issue is probably not Ubuntu specific but it might depends on ibus being enabled and ibus-gtk not being installed, which is not a standard configuration. Note that Ubuntu does install ibus-gtk by default so that issue is not an issue on Ubuntu Desktop but for custom installs and desktops which don't install recommends only
