Public bug reported: Running rhythmbox pointing to a library with 20,000+ tracks results in large amounts(3.9gb+) of memory being used up by a 'rhythmbox-metadata' process, making the system it's running on almost completely unresponsive and unusable. This happens relatively quickly, about as quick as the ram can be allocated.
if I kill this process I get a (rhythmbox:4996): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_css_provider_load_from_path: assertion 'path != NULL' failed g_dbus_connection_real_closed: Remote peer vanished with error: Underlying GIOStream returned 0 bytes on an async read (g-io-error-quark, 0). Exiting. though hard to say if that's helpful.
