I can confirm this bug. I have the same mouse/keyboard set, plugged in with PS/2.
The keys I can confirm working are: Scroll up/down, left/right (with mouse and keyboard) The back arrow in the lower left of the keyboard Volume up/down, mute Play/pause Email Calculator Sleep Music skip back/forward The "Media" key The stop playback key is detected but only works in one program I tested - Rhythmbox (didn't work in Totem, Exaile!) - not sure if this is a fault with Ubuntu or the other programs though. For a solution - try getting keytouch. Most (maybe all, I didn't thoroughly test it) hotkeys worked for me, including the extra F keys. -- Multimedia keys partially working https://launchpad.net/bugs/73619 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
