I can confirm this bug. I have the same mouse/keyboard set, plugged in
with PS/2.

The keys I can confirm working are:
Scroll up/down, left/right (with mouse and keyboard)
The back arrow in the lower left of the keyboard
Volume up/down, mute
Play/pause
Email
Calculator
Sleep
Music skip back/forward
The "Media" key

The stop playback key is detected but only works in one program I tested
- Rhythmbox (didn't work in Totem, Exaile!) - not sure if this is a
fault with Ubuntu or the other programs though.

For a solution - try getting keytouch. Most (maybe all, I didn't
thoroughly test it) hotkeys worked for me, including the extra F keys.
