I confirm this on a fresh and up-to-date installed Herd 1. No drives in places menu and om my desktop,also when I start my USB harddisk and my USB stick. When I restart dbus with /etc/init.d/dbus restart,my drives are shown up in places menu,but my USB harddisk and stick not.When I boot the system the USB harddisk and stick shown up in places menu and /media.
