I confirm this bug. I am using Herd 1 fully updated from main server. All partitions are mounted but none of the icons appear in the desktop until I restart dbus.
I have to manually mount CD-ROM. After restart dbus, the CD-ROM is mounted when I click on its icon in Nautilus. Thumb drive is not mounted at all even after restart dbus.
