Hello Mr Arias
I have put the answers to each question at the end of the question. The
PC shuts down after 15 minutes or if I go to screen saver it locks up
instantly and PC shuts down. I have to hit control, alt ,delete and
completely start over.

This are the questions you haven't answered:
# What desktop environment does this problem occur in? (GNOME, XFCE, KDE,
etc.*)Gnome*
# Do you use visual effects? (System/Preferences/Appearance/Visual Effects)*No*
# Does the problem still occur if you disable visual effects?*Yes*
# Does the problem still occur if you use the "blank screen" screensaver?*Can't*
# Is the "Lock screen when screensaver is active" setting checked in
System/Preferences/Screensaver?*No*
# Is this a laptop or a desktop machine?*Desktop*
# How many monitors do you use?*One*
# If it is a laptop, do you use an external screen?*N/A*
# Do you have the hamster-applet application installed? This applications has
been known to cause screen locking issues*No*
