Do I get this correct? Whatever you upgrade *after* the upgrade a file /var/run/reboot-required is there, but *before* it was not? Does this also happens when you install some random package: # apt-get install 3dchess and/or when you reinstall a random pkg # apt-get install --reinstall somepkg
? Is there anything in the log of apt that indicates that one package is in a weird state and its postinst is run for some reason again?
