Sorry, but I'm not sure if I understand this correctly. I tried that but as far as I could see there was no option to add the report to the existing bug when doing this with apport. Do you really mean that I should file a new report instead? This sounds silly to me because like this the other relevant information contained in this report is not connected to the new report and therefore most probably lost. > > ** Attachment removed: "apport crash log" > > http://launchpadlibrarian.net/17059291/_usr_bin_rhythmbox.1000.crash Sorry, if you really can't use the log when it's attached to a report rather than submitted with apport. But I won't be able to submit it again for quite some time because this is a problem on a computer I support for my mother and I don't have access to it if I'm not at her place. Additionaly the problem is now solved for her by initializing the iPod with iTunes under MS Windows. The iPod was only initialized (clicking through some license agrements) but no music was synchronized to the iPod. It was still empty when I connected it to rhythmbox again. Then I could copy music on to the iPod without a crash. > > ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) > Status: Confirmed => Invalid I also don't understand why this bug repeatedly gets closed as invalid if several people independently report and confirm it. IMHO there is not much doubt that there is really a bug. But again coming from a Debian perspective I'm neither familiar with Launchpad bug statuses nor with bug handling best practices in Ubuntu in general. But as a Debian Developer this does not really increase my motivation to contribute to Ubuntu by providing bug reports if I encounter bugs on Ubuntu machines.
