Comment: What is really strange is that I just got finished installing Ubuntu on an older k6 233Mhz system I had lying around here. Everything in the unit is SCSI based (HD, both CDs, and ZIP). I started with the 4.10 release and everything worked fine. CDs were automounted, displayed on the desktop, and ejected smoothly. The same was true of ZIP disks. I say was, because after finishing the upgrade to 5.10 this is no longer the case. Now, ZIP disks are automatically mounted on insert and a Nautilus window started. However, there is no icon on the desktop for them , nor is there one in the Computer view of Nautilus. Thus the only way to eject the disk is to run eject via sudo against the device or mount point. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
