You "can" give them their own IP in your gateway, and assign it a hostname of theirs. I have about 20 Ips in my Imail machine. The "official" name is mx01.web4less.net But this is what appears in one of my headers (on the way to exchange)
Received: from fw2.netsmith.net [204.49.154.3] by mail.cfi.net with ESMTP (SMTPD32-6.06) id A9D623630206; Tue, 10 Dec 2002 15:17:13 -0600 (mail.cfi.net is the "hostname" in imail for my 204.49.154.3 ip). Mxfilter.THEIRNAME.COM might suit their needs. (and not mess up your gateway process) Just don't give it any users, and do NOT give it a host alias of 'theirname.com', or it will treat the mail local. -Tom -----Original Message----- From: Mark Smith [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, December 10, 2002 3:14 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Junkmail/iMail domain names. Now that I think about it, changing that would probably screw up my Junkmail license key. :) No biggie... > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of R. > Scott Perry > Sent: Tuesday, December 10, 2002 3:16 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Junkmail/iMail domain names. > > > > >After checking with my customers, I think that what they're > referring > >to is the SMTP header.
