I coultn'd maximise any windows (I'm not sure I tried any other program than gnome-terminal). Sawfish toggled the windows state (changing the menu-entry from "maximise" to "unmaximise") but the window didn't get maximised. Then I tried to upgrade from xserver-xorg-core_1.4.1~git20071117-1_i386.deb to 2:1.4.1~git20071119-1. The result: I didn't even get to see gdm. The screen just turned off. Now I'm back to the old xserver-xorg-core and xserver-xorg-video-ati. Tell me if there's something I should try out. Roni
