Hi there, Ok I have made some more tests. I have installed xorg packages from unstable. I have also install mga and ati drivers from experimental. What happens is whether I turn off definitions for Mga or not I get a segfault. I am attaching the Xorg.0.log again. In this log file I have executed X with a single head-setup. Let me know if you need more information. I can do some more testing I think. Thanks, -- aldemir

I am afraid this setup cannot work since the new ati driver 6.7.193 uses RandR 1.2 while the mga driver does not, and the server does not seem to appreciate multiple boards in RandR 1.2 so far, and it's not clear it's going to be fixed soon unfortunately. So it'd be good to comment out all MGA related lines in xorg.conf and test with 6.7.193-1 again. That would help us know: * does ati 6.7.193 fixes the problem for your board that 6.6.193 has? (you might need to disable DRI again, not sure) * how does the server behave when mixing RandR 1.2 and non-RandR drivers We could also imagine that you test the new RandR 1.2 MGA driver (1.9.99 in experimental), but you might hate me if I ask for more testing :) And this driver seems pretty young so far, so we'll see that later. thanks, Brice ___________________________________________________________ Yahoo!
