I have space and backspace in my gconf database too, but I never use it (and I don't want to try ctrl-alt-backspace anyway since it is supposed to kill X...). It looks like your ctrl-alt-left/right are not working. Did you change the default key shortcut in the compiz gconf config? I've one such case in the past, we only solved it by deleting the whole tree of compiz config in the gconf database. > How/where do you have your keys mapped for this? I didn't change anything. It seems to be /apps/compiz/plugins/plane/allscreens/options/plane_left_key and plane_right_key, set to <Control><Alt>Left and right here.
