Package: xserver-xfree86-dbg Followup-For: Bug #275735 Removing xlibmesa-dri does not prevent the lockups either (previously in the thread around this bug xlibmesa-dri has been suggested as possible root of the problem).
Should not this bug raised to release critical as it make XFree unusable on iBook 2.2? I do not know of any workaround. Are the original submitter and I the only people to experience it? I understand how difficult it is to track down such a bug for which we do not know any deterministic way to trigger it (but it always occurs after a few minutes XFree is running). I am willing to help even it seems to me beyond my current skills.
