That's not a bug in X, me thinks. I'm guessing, that you haven't loaded your chipset specific agp module, which in your case would be 'intel-agp' Starting with 2.6, there's a generic agpgart module, and several *-agp modules for different AGP chips. YOu need to load both, before starting the Xserver. - Christian
