Please save the attached patch as /tmp/xfonts-scalable.postinst.diff and apply it with the following command: # cd /var/lib/dpkg/info && patch -p0 < tmp/xfonts-scalable.postinst.diff It should apply cleanly (but will warn of offsets -- that's expected). After applying this patch, please re-run the script: # dpkg --configure xfonts-scalable (or, if dpkg thinks the package is already configured: # /var/lib/dpkg/info/xfonts-scalable.postinst configure ) Please let me know if this patch resolves the problem. -- G.
