Maybe you should:
  * Fix your DRI setup. Either you don't have a SiS card, or the module isn't
    picking it up, or whatever.
  * Fix your mouse setup. /dev/input/mice doesn't exist.

Once you've done this, maybe stuff will start working again; either way,
debian-x is still not debian-user.
