I have in my ~/.Xdefaults: XClipboard*Text*Font: -*-koi8-r XClipboard*Command*Font: -*-koi8-r XClipboard*Label*Font: -*-koi8-r and the environment is: $ set | egrep LC_ LC_MESSAGES=C LC_TIME=C $ set | egrep LANG LANG=ru_RU.KOI8-R With the following font packages installed: xfonts-cronyx-koi8r-100dpi xfonts-cronyx-koi8u-100dpi xfonts-cyrillic scalable-cyrfonts and the following /etc/locale.gen: # [...] Comments... en_GB ISO-8859-1 en_US ISO-8859-1 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ISO-8859-15 es_ES ISO-8859-1 ru_RU.KOI8-R KOI8-R I can copy text from the homepage, and paste back to, say, the search textbox. Works fine (?).
