I have been trying to configure my PC with greater than 8 > bit colour. If I use a resolution of greater than 640 x 480, I get a ghost image of objects displayed on the screen. The screen also flickers the ghost images a lot. I have tried different monitors. We also have an earlier version of the IBM PC 350 with a std. Trio 64 chip set which also experiences that same problem. When used previously with SuSe 6.4, I believe the PC worked with 16 bit colour at 800 x 600.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems? I put the Trio64V+ bug lines in the <XF86Config> file, which I think has allowed it to use 16 bit colour in 640 x 480 mode. P.S. I don't currently subscribe to this list so make sure you CC me or send a message directly to me. Thank you! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- .........
